1971 First Kiss - New Years Day Dance

 On a frigid, 20-below-zero New Year’s Day in 1971, I attended a dance with friends at The Pfister Hotel. I am glad that I ventured out into the terrible weather that night, because I met Daniel Nason. It was love at first sight! We danced all evening and he gave me my first kiss during the song “You Are My Special Angel.” We were engaged a few weeks later on January 15th, and were married July 31 that same year.

Dan and I have been married to each other for 37 years, and after raising our daughter we are expecting our second grandchild this coming New Year’s Eve. I met my best friend on New Year’s Day 1971, thanks to God and The Pfister Hotel!
