On Thursday, March 11, Newaukee, a young professionals’ social networking organization, will be converging on Clear Lounge in the InterContinental Hotel from 6-9pm. Clear, located at 139 E Kilbourn Ave in downtown Milwaukee, will be treating Newaukeeans to fantastic drink & food specials and live music, in addition to free indoor Bocce Ball! Newaukee is a social and professional networking organization for young professionals, where anyone can attend and there is no fee for being a part of the organization.

Events are held at Milwaukee-area establishments, including local bars and restaurants, parks, breweries, or any other gem Milwaukee has to offer. Every other Thursday, 100-200 young professionals from around the city gather at one of these establishments to meet other young professionals, enjoy food and drink specials, and listen to live music from local musicians.

The Shamrock Club of Wisconsin’s 44th Annual St Patrick’s Day Parade will take place on March 13, 2010, starting at 3rd and Wisconsin and continuing to Highland and Water Streets. Come and see one of the best St Patrick’s Day Parades in the country, and the largest parade in Wisconsin. With nearly 140 units marching, it is a wonderfull celebration of Irish life. And on St. Patrick’s Day, everyone is Irish!

They’re Back by popular demand. Join us on Clear every Saturday night for The Vitrolum Republic. They will be playing some sweet jams Saturday, March 13 from 9 p.m to 11 p.m.

Their original compositions blur genres, combining classical elements with singer-songwriter, folk, bluegrass, blues and gypsy tango stylings. Their music is diverse, and draws upon the acoustic instrumentation each member brings to the stage; violin, piano, acoustic guitar, accordion, mandolin, banjo, upright bass and a variety of percussion instruments that are both subdued and dynamic.

Chris Daughtry is an American musician and the guitarist, songwriter, and vocalist for the band Daughtry. He was the fourth-place finalist on the fifth season of American Idol, eliminated from the competition on May 10, 2006.

After his elimination from Idol, The band that was formed, Daughtry, released their self-titled debut album which sold more than 1 million copies after just 5 weeks of release, becoming the fastest selling debut rock album in history

The tour announcement comes as Daughtry’s latest single “Life After You,” continues to perform well on the charts. The song is the second from the group’s sophomore album Leave This Town, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 last summer. The album’s first single, “No Surprise,” became the band’s fourth #1 hit and the band’s third single is scheduled to be released this spring.
